Road Trips Rule

It’s no secret that taking a road trip is one of my favourite ways to travel. We’ve taken short ones (last weekend we were in Ottawa for Winterlude for example) and longer ones (in 2015 we did an epic 30-day trip across the southern United States).

Road tripsNo matter the length of the trip or the chosen destination, the key to each road trip’s success was making sure we were comfortable in the car. No trip is going to be successful if kids are jockeying for elbow room in an over packed vehicle. It’s one of those times when size matters.

Road Trip

Comfortable kids are happy road trippers. Bison help too.

Comfort is Everything

The kids are getting taller and some of the things we need out of a car are changing (Fuel efficiency is even more important with gas prices in the “burning my eyes to look at those numbers” range) and some are the same ( Heated seats anyone?). But the fact is sometimes we don’t even know what we’d like until we see it.

For the last few years trips to the AutoShow have helped. We’ve peeked in at the only-in-our-dreams concept cars and the maybe-we-can cars and even in the years when we haven’t end up buying, the trip to the show has helped to fuel our road trip dreams.

This year, I’m partnering with VW Canada to help you fuel yours.

We’re giving away a pair of general admission tickets  to the Canadian International AutoShow taking place in Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from February 17-26.  At the show you can test drive cars, win prizes or just drool without judgment.

I’ll be there on opening day hosting a session on behalf of VW Canada and taking road trip questions and you’ll be able to follow along as I explore the show on all of my social channels as well as the @VWCanada channels (or by following #VWAutoShow).

Ready to win? It’s as easy as sharing your interest on social. Details are in the rafflecopter below. Make sure to tag @VWCanada and use the #VWAutoshow hashtag in your shares.

Good luck!
