Transat Auction Cyber Monday – Travel that helps

Transat Auction Cyber Monday Deals Mean Trips that Matter

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The cruelest season – winter – is almost upon us.

I tell you this from Martinique where I’m sitting in 30 degree temperature after having left Toronto on the morning of that first snowfall a few days ago.

Trust me when I tell you that there is nothing sweeter than travel that lets you  leave the snow and cold behind for a warmer destination. Waking up to white sands and sunshine instead of slush and sleet should be a part of your annual plan too. And it’s not too late!

In fact, the timing couldn’t be better.

This Monday you’ll have the chance to take steps to book a travel getaway without fear of killing your holiday budget and while also doing good for others.

Yesterday we shared a whole host of Cyber Monday deals meant to save you money; today I want to share one that does so much more.

Yes, please.

Yes, please.

For the third year, the #TransatAuction will offer Canadians the chance to jump on Twitter and bid on one of 20 all-inclusive vacations.

This is your chance to name your price on popular sun destinations like Mexico, Curaçao, Panama and St. Maarten. There are also hotels to bid on and roundtrip flights to Europe.

Best of all, while you’re getting a deal on your vacation you will also be making a difference in the lives of people who are truly in need of your help.

You only have to have given a passing glance at your Twitter feed over the last few weeks to realize that the worlds’ children continue to need our help. While many kids are already visualizing sugarplums and full stockings this holiday season, so many others around the world hold no such hope.

All of the proceeds from #TransatAuction go towards SOS Children’s Villages, a great cause that assists abandoned and orphaned children around the world.

The non-profit humanitarian organization provides caring family homes to more than 80,000 orphaned and abandoned children in 134 countries.

And over the last few years Transat Tours Canada has raised over $2 million with its customers through various initiatives including the Transat Auction, and helped to change the lives of more than 25,000 vulnerable children by offering them basic needs like food, shelter and health care.

“It’s a new take on Cyber Monday deals – a win for our consumers and a big win for SOS Children’s Villages, a cause that’s close to our hearts,” notes Geneviève LeBrun, Vice President, Marketing, Transat Tours Canada.

So how does it work?
