Halifax, Nova Scotia

The Halifax Region has a lot of ways to celebrate Canada Day:

You can enjoy a pancake breakfast, watch the Tattoo Parade in downtown Halifax and enjoy some family-friendly fun on the Commons. There is also a free summer concert in Dartmouth and a party at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market.

Head to Shipyards Park to celebrate Canada Day with your neighbours in Whitehorse. Watch the parade, and stay for the swearing in ceremony of new Canadians.

It’s a party in Fernie, British Columbia at the Fernie Aquatic Centre grounds. There’s live entertainment all day and from 7pm until dusk. The kids will be busy with bouncy castles, activities and crafts plus bike races and other events. Stay for the fireworks at dusk.

The Falls are spectacular any day of the year but Canada Day celebrations make it an extra special time to visit. Head to downtown Niagara Falls for the festivities put on around City Hall, including live music and children’s activities.

There will also be fireworks in the evening by the Falls in Queen Victoria Park.
