dove So you already know that I participated in a Dove music video for Nourishing Oil Care. The commercial is actually 90% real dancers and 10% social media bloggers which is a good thing because – judging from my role in the video – social media bloggers do not professional dancers make.

But  I digress.

The experience was phenomenal: Mark Townsend consulting on my hair, A.J. Akomon showing me some dance steps (even if my non-smiling, soldier-esque interpretation in the video makes me cringe) and an introduction to a daily conditioner that I now use daily. (It’s thick and rich and works well on my kinky curly hair – which has me already contemplating how I can fit bottles of the stuff in my bag  when we head around the world this summer.)

Now it’s your turn.

The bloggers involved are intent on making sure that lots of people see this video because if it gets 1 million hits Dove Canada will donate  $100,000 to the Dove Self Esteem Fund  whose mandate is to  “inspire and educate girls and young women about a wider definition of beauty.” And who doesn’t want that?

So, I’m asking you to watch it. Then watch it again.

And after you have watched it so often you find yourself humming the tune even when the computer is off (we need the clicks!),  leave me a comment below describing your most embarrassing dance move and I’ll put your name in a draw to win a year’s supply of Dove hair products. Yup. That easy.

Contest ends May 1, 2011. Name will be chosen at random.

Good luck!

We’ve got a winner: Congratulations to Colleen from Vancouver. Happy hair styling. :)
