We’ve been a fan of G Adventures for some time. We have taken a few of their trips and on each one come home not only with experiences we still talk about but with new friendships that have lasted long after.
G offers unique travel experiences for adventure seeking solo travellers, couples and families. There is a tour option for everyone, and many destinations to choose from.
As we begin to plan our travels in 2017, we are talking a lot about the importance of adding some new experiences to the mix. You too?
These newly announced G Adventures Limited Edition trips might spur some fun ideas for you and your family in 2017/18. We hope they help inspire your next great adventure.
The trips below are just a sample of what G Adventures is offering. To view the entire program, head here.
Halloween in Transylvania – Airbnb may have clinched the first Halloween sleepover in 2016, but G Adventures has exclusively secured Bran Castle for a party of 100 people next October. It’s rumored to be a one of the most haunted places in Europe and guests will have the castle to themselves. After a guided tour of the castle by a “Dracula,” you can party well into the night. This seven-day trip also includes travel from Bucharest to Sibiu, Sighișoara and Bran. Priced from $1,399pp.
Highlights of Haiti & Carnival – In February, dive into the revelry of Haitian Carnival with thousands of others on the streets of Jacmel, the home of Haiti’s most colorful street party. Locals don oversized papier-mâché masks and others are doused head to toe in vivid paint colors. This three-hour parade is in an area that was spared the worst of Hurricane Matthew. Go there with sustainable tour operator G Adventures and help inject vital tourism dollars into the local economy on a nine-day trip that also visits Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien. Priced from $2,799 per person, air separate.
Jamaica Reggae Sumfest Experience – Jump into the action and get a taste of the “irie” life in July with an included ticket to three nights of Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay. Prepare to see local acts, international stars, and dance the night away to the island beats. One or two big international names are typically on the bill each evening along with Dancehall Night, Reggae Night and a little bit of everything else Jamaican. A four-day trip with departure and return from Montego Bay is priced from $699 per person, airfare separate.
Pizzafest in Naples – Come September, explore everything pizza at Pizza Village, the home of Pizzafest! Watch dough throwing competitions, see master pizzaiolli demonstrate their skills, listen to authentic Neapolitan music, and of course try some of the most delicious pizza in Italy. There are also guided visits to Pompeii and Sorrento included in this five-day tour, where travelers will try their hand at limoncello-making to wash down the pizza. This five-day trip with departure and return to Naples is priced from $649 per person, air separate.
Serengeti Half-Marathon Experience – This one-of-a-kind, eight-day adventure was made for running enthusiasts eager to get off the treadmill or the pavement and try something different. Spend a few days getting the lay of the land by meeting members of a local village and tracking the Big Five on wildlife safari drives around Serengeti National Park. Next, it’s the big race (21km, or 5km fun run), followed by two days spent exploring the wondrous Ngorongoro Crater. From $3199 per person for 8 days, air separate.
