Idea 3: Take to the Rails for Fun in Montreal
There is something so romantic about train travel, whether you are escaping for a couples getaway this long weekend or taking the kids to explore a new city. Via Rail has a lot of great packages for travel within Canada. Here’s one we selected for you, a Montreal escape package. This package is Toronto to Montreal.

If you want to stay close to home this long weekend, find new ways to explore your city. Brunch pairs well with antique shopping, hit the beach or find a shady spot in a park. Tourist spots are popular for a reason. Check out their online guides for special activities for the family.
Yes, totally agree with going to Vegas. Even though a lot of the action is on the strip, the downtown has its own charms as well. I spent 6 days in Vegas in April, and not a minute was boring, despite the fact that I don’t gamble. We saw shows, went to the pool, browsed art galleries, got a massage, and stuffed ourselves silly on the buffets.
