Canadian tour operator G Adventures launches an aid appeal in response to the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that devastated Kathmandu, Nepal and surrounding areas. Funds raised will support the long-term recovery of the affected communities. The initiative has raised more than $85,000 so far and the goal has been raised from $75,000 to $100,000.
“Nepal needs our help. Relief agencies are already mobilizing to provide food, shelter, and medicine to those affected by the earthquake, but it doesn’t end there. It will take months, even years to rebuild the country,” says Bruce Poon Tip, founder, G Adventures.
