Congratulations to the winners: Jason, Candace and Julie. Enjoy!

I love movies.

Give me a choice of ways to spend time with the family on a Friday night and I’ll pick movie night every time. Luckily the kids have got the bug too and you’ll find us quite happy  – at home or abroad – popcorn in hand and eyes firmly fixed to the screen.

And when a movie is able to take me back to a place I love? Even better.

It’s why I’m excited to see Million Dollar Arm. (The fact that Jon Hamm of Mad Men fame is in it helps too.)

The movie is based on the true story of an American sports agent (Hamm) who in a last ditch effort to rescue his career heads to India in search of the next great pitcher. He finds them in two cricket players and the movie centers on his efforts to teach them the American game. And of course (it is a Disney flick!) there are some lessons about family and what’s truly important along the way.

The story sounds great and I’m looking forward to it, but more than that I’m looking forward to once again seeing the beauty of India.

We spent six weeks there during our Around the World Trip and came away aching to see more. From the food to the culture to the people, we found ourselves falling in love over and over again.

Even the Taj Mahal – which I thought would just be a “beautiful building” – caused my jaw drop.

I wish I could send you to India (working on it!) but for now why not enter the contest below. A random name will be drawn on May 12th – that’s just 48 hrs from now – for each of these three screenings.
