There is nothing wrong with getting your Halloween chills in a new-to-you destination. Why not take an opportunity to get scared in a different part of the world? We’ve rounded up a few ways you can do exactly that in places near and far. This year maybe you should go on a Trick-or-Treat adventure in the sweetest place on earth, or tour with bats in Barbados. Experience Hersheypark In The Dark – a frightful good time with more than 50 rides and attractions, including 13 rollercoasters for getting your scream on.  You can also participate in Hershey’s Trick-or-Treat Adventure, featuring a candy trail that starts at Hershey’s Chocolate World and continues through Treatville. This is for children 12 and under and costumes are encouraged.

Or experience a flashlight walking tour through ZooAmerica for the Creatures of the Night event, also in Hershey. This is the only time of the year when guests can experience the Zoo after dark to see the nocturnal habits of North American species. Learn more.

Haunted Happenings in Baltimore

Visit ZooBOOO! at the Maryland Zoo. It’s a day of free trick-or-treating, costume contests, carnival games, live entertainment and festive food. From October 26, 27 and 28, 10am to 4pm. Click here for more information.

Experience the Lantern Parade & Festival on October 25. The ELECTRIC Great Halloween Lantern Parade connects science to the arts. The day includes a family Halloween festival featuring a kids Halloween costume contest, lantern making, hayrides and many more free activities. Learn more.
